AVDB is an independent archive of Aston Villa Football Club, built over many years by one person, one record at a time.

Every competitive match the club has played. Every player who has appeared. Every manager, every referee, with the numbers behind each of them — appearances, goals, assists, cards, points per game, the lot. Line-ups, substitutions, scorers, minutes, attendances and venues, with a written account of the match where one exists.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

The records here aren't scraped from anywhere. They are the result of years of archive work, cross-checking published reports against the club's own history, and correcting the errors that get copied from site to site. Where the evidence is thin, the app says so rather than inventing a number.
