Av Conrad DeMasi · Produktivitet

Därför förväntar vi oss mycket av den: A clever, clearly explained idea that turns a physical NFC tag into a memorable friction tool for focus.

Kort sagt

Broc is a productivity app that blocks chosen apps, categories or websites while you hold one button, and it only lifts the block when you tap an NFC sticker you have placed out of easy reach. It suits people who want friction between themselves and distracting apps. One detail that stands out is that it offers five emergency un-brocs that never refill, and it runs on Apple's Screen Time without accounts or tracking.

Om appen

Turn your phone into broccoli.

Hold one button and the apps you lose time to are blocked. To get them back, you have to go tap your Broc tag, an NFC sticker you put somewhere that takes effort to reach. By the time you get there, the urge has usually passed.

HOW IT WORKS - Pick the apps, categories or websites to block - Hold to broc. Your phone is now broccoli. - Tap your Broc tag to un-broc

FEATURES - Works with any NTAG213, 215 or 216 NFC sticker - 5 emergency un-brocs for real emergencies. They never refill. - A timer that shows how long you've been broccoli, plus a home screen widget - Your app list and tag are locked while you're broccoli

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no tracking, no servers. Blocking runs on Apple's Screen Time, and Broc can't see which apps you picked.
