Kort sagt
Cleave: Words & Ideas is a daily deck of vocabulary, concepts and mental tools across topics such as psychology, philosophy, science and politics. Cards use swipe gestures and spaced repetition to bring back difficult items, and many include a counterview. Its standout feature is that cards often present the opposing school of thought alongside the idea.

Cleave is a daily deck of words and ideas worth knowing: the vocabulary, concepts and mental tools that sharpen how you think and speak.
A FEW CARDS A DAY - Tap a card to reveal its meaning. Swipe right if you know it, left if you are still learning. - Spaced repetition brings back the cards you find hard, just before you would forget them. - Set a daily goal of 5, 10, 15 or 20 cards and build a streak.
MORE THAN VOCABULARY Choose the topics you care about: - Vocabulary: precise, useful words, and the allusions behind phrases like Kafkaesque and Achilles' heel - Psychology and Cognitive Biases - Philosophy and Mental Models - Emotions and Feelings - Literature & Art - Science - Society & Politics Or add your own words, and Cleave looks up the definition for you.
SEE THE COUNTERVIEW Many cards come with a counterview: the school of thought that pushes back against the idea on the card, so you learn both sides.
LITTLE THINGS - An everyday word of the day, with a daily reminder and a home screen widget - Hear any word read aloud - Achievements, XP and streak freezes - Light and dark themes, and support for large text
PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads, no tracking. Your progress stays on your phone. The only thing that ever leaves it is a word you choose to look up.
