Engelsiz İşitme: Sign Language

Hand over your phone and let the other person speak: an on-screen avatar shows what was said in Turkish Sign Language (TİD). The sentence also appears as text first. You reply with a quick reply or by typing; your answer is read aloud and shown in large text.

Engelsiz İşitme is made for everyday, face-to-face conversations between Deaf and hard of hearing people and hearing people in Turkey. The app's interface is in Turkish.

HOW IT WORKS 1. Tap "Start conversation" and hand your phone over; large text on screen tells them what to do. 2. They speak; their words appear as text. They can check and correct it, or type instead. 3. They tap "Translate" and hand the phone back. The avatar signs the sentence; numbers and fingerspelled words also appear as text on a card. 4. Pick a quick reply or type your answer. The app reads it aloud.

HONEST LIMITS • Translation is done by AI and can make mistakes. The app does not give medical or legal advice and does not replace a professional (certified) sign language interpreter in health, legal or emergency situations. • The sign library holds thousands of signs but not every word; missing words (medicine, people and street names) are fingerspelled letter by letter. The app never makes up signs. • Translation needs an internet connection; offline, text is still shown and can be fingerspelled.

PRIVACY • Audio is never recorded. No ads, no tracking. • Conversation text is not stored permanently on our server (kept in memory for at most 10 minutes); the AI provider, Anthropic, keeps it for up to 30 days. If you tap "Report translation", that text and sign sequence are kept for 30 days for review. • Speech is transcribed on your device if Turkish recognition is installed, otherwise by Apple's service. • For translation, text is sent to Anthropic's AI service in the USA; the app asks for your explicit consent first, details are in the privacy policy. • No account needed. You can optionally sign in with Apple (we never receive your e-mail or name) and delete your account at any time.

FREE AND SUBSCRIPTION Always free: speech to text, sign language for ready-made phrases, fingerspelling any text, text to speech and quick replies.

For the first 14 days (up to 100 translations), translating free speech into sign language is free too, no card or payment details needed. After that, free-form translation needs a monthly subscription. Fair-use limits: up to 55 translations a day, 800 a month.

SUBSCRIPTION TERMS • Subscription: Engelsiz İşitme Monthly • Length: 1 month, auto-renewing • Price: TRY 199.99 per month (the current price is shown before you buy) • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. • The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. • Manage or cancel in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. • The free period is not a store trial offer: nothing is charged when it ends.
