KAMAT High-Pressure Tools

KAMAT High-Pressure Tools brings together the sizing tools of KAMAT, manufacturer of plunger pumps up to 4,000 bar and 3,000 kW drive power, based in Witten, Germany.

PUMP FINDER Enter pressure and flow rate, and the app suggests matching KAMAT pump series from the current performance list. It shows plunger diameter, conversion kit, utilization against the effective maximum power with API 674 derating, an IEC motor recommendation and the speed control range. Up to three series can be compared. An operating cost calculator determines energy costs, payback and CO2 emissions for the selected operating point.

NOZZLE CALCULATOR Calculates pressure, flow rate, nozzle diameter or number of nozzles. Outputs recoil force and hydraulic power. Above 250 N recoil force, the app warns that hand-held operation is not permitted. Five nozzle types are included with drawings.

FORMULAS 11 formulas of high-pressure technology, each as its own calculator: leave one field empty and the app calculates it from the other values. Pump mechanics: mean plunger speed, theoretical flow rate, plunger force, maximum allowable discharge pressure. Drive: angular speed, input torque of a triplex pump, drive power, input power at 93 % efficiency. Jetting physics: fluid velocity, water jet momentum, nozzle diameter.

GLOSSARY 83 technical terms on plunger pumps, processes and applications, with search, A to Z index and links to further pages on kamat.de.

SHARE RESULTS Save any sizing as a PDF, share it by email or send it to KAMAT as an inquiry.

FEATURES German, English and Spanish, metric and US units, available offline after the first launch. No registration, no ads, no in-app purchases.

Results are intended for preliminary sizing. KAMAT provides binding sizing on request.
