mCars - Car Expense Manager

mCars is where your vehicles' running costs and paperwork live - one car, the family's two, or the handful a small business keeps on the road.

EVERY COST IN ONE PLACE Record what you spend and on which vehicle: fuel, servicing, insurance, road tax, tyres, parking, tolls, repairs, fines, car wash, or an expense type you define yourself. Each entry keeps its amount, currency, date and notes, with the receipt attached to it.

NOTHING EXPIRES BEHIND YOUR BACK Give an expense a validity period and mCars watches the clock. Insurance, roadworthiness, road tax, the next service - the Upcoming tab sorts every vehicle's renewals by how close they are and reminds you as many days ahead as you choose. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on the device, so they arrive with no signal and no account.

THE GLOVEBOX, ON YOUR PHONE Keep your ID, driving licence and each vehicle's registration in the app. Scan them with the camera or import a PDF from another app. Documents with an expiry date get reminders too.

WHAT THE VEHICLES ACTUALLY COST The expense report totals any period you pick, for one vehicle or all of them, broken down by type - so you can see where the money goes. Export it as a PDF or an Excel file when your accountant asks.

PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION mCars makes no network requests at all. There is no server behind it, no account to create, no analytics and no third-party code. The app locks behind Face ID or your passcode every time you leave it, and iOS encrypts your files while the phone is locked.

A SINGLE-DEVICE TOOL Everything lives on your iPhone. That means no logins to share, no sync and no team features - if several people need the same vehicles, this is not the app for that. Moving to a new phone is an encrypted backup, sealed with a password only you know.
