PlanDelta: PDF Drawing Compare

See where your drawings differ, then decide what needs attention.

PlanDelta gives architects, contractors, engineers, and project reviewers a focused Mac workspace for comparing PDF drawing revisions. Bring two versions together, inspect candidate differences, and turn your review into a useful handoff.

COMPARE A PAGE PAIR Open the original and revised PDFs, then choose the corresponding page from each. Review one page pair at a time. A color overlay highlights added or darker content, removed or lighter content, and color changes. Switch to Before, After, or Swipe to inspect the drawings in context.

RECORD YOUR DECISIONS Work through the numbered candidate regions. Mark each one as Reviewed, Follow up, or Ignored, and add your own note. Filter the queue to find unfinished reviews or follow-up items. Before-and-after crops keep the relevant detail close to your decision.

SHARE A CLEAR RECORD Export a PDF report with a comparison overview, numbered regions, before-and-after crops, decisions, and notes. Export a CSV review register for use in a spreadsheet. Save a self-contained .plandelta review with both source PDFs so you can reopen your work later. Each saved review covers one page pair.

KEEP THE WORK LOCAL PDF processing happens on your Mac. PlanDelta has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or document-upload service. You choose where to save your review files and exports.

MADE FOR A FOCUSED REVIEW - Adjust the difference threshold to reduce subtle pixel differences. - Move the revised page horizontally or vertically for manual alignment. - Zoom into the drawing and show or hide candidate-region boxes. - Use keyboard shortcuts to move through the review. - Explore the workflow with included fictional sample drawings.

One purchase. No subscription.

PlanDelta highlights candidate visual differences for you to inspect. Small details, scanning noise, and alignment can affect results. Verify important findings against the source drawings.

Requires an Apple silicon Mac with macOS 14 or later. Supports unlocked PDF documents.
