Scroll the Lore

Scroll the Lore brings the great myths to your phone, one swipe at a time.

Every story is told in short cards you swipe like a feed. Each card quotes the original Ancient Greek or Old Norse, with our own vivid plain-English telling underneath. And each realm has its own look: terracotta for Olympus, fjord blue for Asgard.

MYTH OF THE DAY A new myth every day, about five minutes from start to finish. Odysseus tricks the Cyclops with the name "Nobody". Thor wakes up to find his hammer stolen and has to get it back in a wedding dress. Prometheus steals fire. Odin hangs nine nights on the World Tree to win the runes.

GO DEEPER ON EVERY CARD Tap Go deeper for the meaning, the key Greek and Old Norse words, the backstory, and where the tale connects to others.

7-DAY JOURNEYS Greek Myth in 7 Days, from the first yawning gap to Odysseus coming home. Norse Myth in 7 Days, from the void to Ragnarök and the green world that rises after it.

MAKE IT YOURS Like, save and share cards. Write notes that save as you type. Search gods, heroes and monsters. Show or hide the transliteration, choose original only or English only, light and dark mode, and adjustable text size.
