Backword: Charades & Clips

Act it out. Film it. Guess it.

Backword is charades for one phone. One player acts out the secret word, the other films them and guesses. Every round becomes a 9:16 clip of the funniest moments.

On a foldable iPhone The word shows on the outer display, where only the actor can see it. The inner display becomes the camera. The guesser frames the actor and taps Pass on the left or Got it on the right.

On any iPhone Without an outer display, Backword plays in Peek mode. The actor peeks at the word, hands the phone back, and the round begins. Every feature still works.

400 words in 10 decks Animals, Jobs, Everyday Actions, Sports, Food, Movie Scenes, Soap Opera Moments, Idioms & Proverbs, Feelings, Festivals & Traditions. The words are picked for each language, not translated. Add your own inside jokes as custom words.

Fair rules • 30, 60 or 90 second rounds • Pass locks for a moment after each new word, so nobody skips by accident • Undo a wrong tap within 3 seconds • Buzzer-beater: a guess right at the bell still counts

Every round is a clip You get a highlight clip with the score, the words and the moment each one landed. Share it or save it to Photos — it is already vertical for Reels and TikTok.

For game night, family holidays, date night and office ice-breakers.

Privacy No account, no ads, no network. Clips stay on your phone until you share or save them.
