In short

Case 16: Murder Sudoku is a logic puzzle game where players place suspects on a floor plan, one per row and column, and deduce the killer from the victim's room. It offers 80 cases ranging from 5×5 to 12×12 boards, with fresh suspects dealt for each case. Hints explain the next deduction step, and no account is required.

About

A murder, a floor plan, and a clue from every suspect.

Put each suspect on the square where they stood: one to a row, one to a column. The victim was alone with the killer, so whoever shares their room did it. No guessing, no luck — every case has exactly one answer, and you can reach it by reasoning alone.

THE RULES FIT ON A CARD • One suspect to every row and every column. • "Beside" means left, right, above or below — never diagonal, never through a wall. • Nobody stands on furniture. Tables, plants and boxes are solid; chairs, beds and carpets are somewhere to be. • The victim was alone with the killer. Their room holds exactly two people.

80 CASES, EASIEST FIRST From a 5×5 warm-up to 12×12 boards that take a whole evening. Bars, ferries, hospitals, film sets, a reading of the will. Every difficulty is measured from the steps it takes to solve, not guessed, so the case number is the ladder.

A NEW CAST EVERY CASE Suspects are dealt fresh for each case — different faces, clothes, hats and habits — so you are never solving the same five people twice.

THE MONTHLY CASE Once a month, one big 12×12 case and one attempt. Fastest times go on the ranking.

HINTS THAT TEACH Stuck? A hint shows the next step of the deduction and why it follows — never just the answer.

FAIR ABOUT ADS Every case is free, and ads pay for them. A hint plays a short ad first; leaving a case you have just solved plays one. An ad never plays before the reveal, and time spent on an ad never counts on your clock.

Turn every ad off with Case 16 Ad-Free: $1.99 a month, or $9.99 once for good. The monthly subscription is charged to your Apple Account and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
