In short

ChromaSol is a photo app that isolates the people in a picture, reduces each garment to one color, and matches it to the closest of the 348 combinations in Sanzo Wada's 1933, 1934 "Dictionary of Color Combinations." It suits anyone curious about color palettes or fashion. All analysis runs on the phone, with no server, accounts, or network use.

About

ChromaSol looks at a photo, isolates the people in it, leaves skin out and reduces the clothing to its true colors: one color per garment, without light and shadow splitting it into several shades. It then searches the 348 combinations of Sanzo Wada's "Dictionary of Color Combinations" (1933–1934) for the closest one and shows it with its original names.

WHAT IT DOES • Scan your photo library or a new photo and get the nearest Wada combination, with alternatives and a confidence level. • Photos with several people: each person is detected and their clothes analyzed separately. • Extract: inspect layer by layer how the result was reached (crop, skin, garments, palette). • Grid: all 348 combinations of the dictionary, each with its own name, with the ones you have worn marked; the combination of the day is laid out like the pages of the book. • Garden: your collection of unlocked and saved combinations. • A shareable card with your palette and the combination number.

PRIVACY All analysis happens on the phone. The app has no server, no accounts and does not use the network: no photo and no data ever leaves the device. It only reads the photos you choose, or your library if you allow it, and also works with limited access.

THE ENGINE CIELAB (D65) colorimetry with CIEDE2000 distances, deterministic palette extraction and matching against the dictionary. The same results on every phone, every time.

LANGUAGES English, Spanish and German, following your iPhone's language.
