By LONGLONG LI · GamesWhy we expect it: A clear, playful voice challenge with thoughtful privacy design and easy friend sharing makes it promising.
In short
EchoDare - Voice Challenge is a game where players listen to a short sound once, then copy it in a single voice take to receive a playful similarity score. Players can also record their own sound of up to four seconds and send it to a friend as a dare. Scoring happens on the iPhone, and recordings are not uploaded by default.

MAKE A SOUND. DARE A FRIEND.
EchoDare is the one-listen, one-take sound challenge. Copy a quick sound and get a playful similarity score—or record your own sound and dare a friend to copy you.
MAKE YOUR OWN DARE
Record up to four seconds of anything: a strange noise, a ridiculous voice, or a sound only your friends will recognize. Listen back, create and share a private challenge, and send it to the group chat. Your custom sound is available for seven days.
LISTEN ONCE
Every round starts with a quick sound. Pay attention: competitive takes give you one listen before it is your turn.
COPY IT IN ONE TAKE
Use your voice to recreate what you heard. There are no filters, no editing, and no polishing a valid attempt. The first honest take is the fun part.
GET YOUR SCORE
EchoDare compares the shape, timing, pitch, energy, and character of your attempt. Replay the original and your recording side by side after the score appears.
SHARE & CHALLENGE
Choose whether to share just your score or include your short Share My Take video. Your friend gets the same sound, one take, and one chance to beat your score. No account or contact access is required. Shared-take videos are available to people with the complete challenge link for seven days.
