In short

Exposed: Mobile Detective is a found-phone detective game in which players examine a realistic smartphone with fifteen familiar apps to answer questions about its owner. Answers are typed rather than chosen from a list, and wrong guesses carry no penalty. The first case is free from start to finish, and the game is offered in fifteen languages.

About

A phone lands in your hands. Somebody wants to know what is on it.

Exposed is a found-phone detective game. A client hands you a smartphone that behaves like a real one — messages, photographs, mail, a calendar, banking, maps, a browser with tabs still open — and asks you questions about the person who owns it. Every answer is somewhere on that device. Nothing tells you which app to look in.

YOU TYPE THE ANSWER No multiple choice. There is no list to work down until something sticks. You read, you work it out, and you type a name, a date, a place. Near misses are forgiven, so spelling a name the way you heard it still counts.

A PHONE, NOT A MENU Fifteen apps that behave like the ones you use. Threads you scroll. Albums that open. A bank statement with eighty lines on it, one of which matters. Apps locked behind a passcode that is written down somewhere else on the phone, if you find it.

A WRONG ANSWER COSTS NOTHING No timer, no lives, no streak to protect. Guess as often as you like — attempts only bring a hint closer. The one advert in the game is a hint you asked for, and there is nothing between you and the evidence.

THE FIRST CASE IS FREE, WHOLE Fifteen questions, three locked apps, and a camera roll shot for that case alone. Start to finish, with no gate in the middle. If you want another one after that, there is a pass.

FIFTEEN LANGUAGES Chosen from your phone's own, changeable at any time. Every message, note and caption is written in each of them rather than run through a translator.
