Faraway Score is a games app that scores a finished game of Faraway from a photo of one player's cards, recognizing each card and showing its points region by region. It suits players who want to skip the slow end-of-game count and get a ranking across several players. One standout detail is that recognition runs on the phone, so photos are never saved or sent to a server, and the app works without internet.

At the end of a game of Faraway you score from right to left, card by card, and the Sanctuaries change the count for everything else. It is the longest part of the evening, and it is easy to get wrong.
Faraway Score does it for you. Lay out one player's cards on the table, Sanctuaries on top and the eight Regions below, and take a photo. The app recognizes the cards and works out the score, Region by Region and Sanctuary by Sanctuary. For every card you see how many points it makes, and why.
If a card is read wrong, tap it and pick the right one from the list: they are all there, including the cards from both expansions. And when a card makes you discard a Sanctuary, the app tries every option and keeps the one that suits you best.
Add as many players as you like, and at the end you get the ranking for the evening. Your games stay saved.
Recognition happens on your phone. Photos are not saved and never go to a server, and it works without internet. No account, no ads, no subscription: it is free, and it will stay free.
You need the game. The app counts the points, it does not let you play.

Faraway Score is not an official app: it is made with the permission of Catch Up Games, who allowed the use of the name, logo and illustrations. Faraway is a game by Johannes Goupy and Corentin Lebrat, illustrated by Maxime Morin and published by Catch Up Games.
