In short

Jjimjilbang: Plan Guest Paths is a game where you lay out the routes guests follow through a Korean bathhouse, from the shoe locker to the sauna, tubs, and sleep room. Placement matters, since facilities next to the right neighbors earn more while a noisy sleep room earns less. A preview shows the multiplier before you place anything.

About

From the shoe locker to the changing lockers, the tubs, the kiln sauna, a cup of sikhye and the sleep room. Guests in a Korean bathhouse follow a path, and you are the one who lays it out.

[13 routes through the bathhouse] Some guests soak and leave. Some sweat in the kiln sauna and finish with sikhye. Some get a scrub and stop by the barber, and families head to the kids zone and the diner. Every route starts at the shoe locker and passes the changing lockers first. If a path is cut, the guest just goes home. If one spot is full, a line forms at the door, and a waiting tag appears above the facility holding everyone up, so you can see right away where to add more.

[Where you place it changes what it earns] A sikhye machine next to the kiln sauna, a sleep room next to the sikhye machine, another sikhye machine beside the ice room, a kids zone and a scrub station by the tubs. Put things where the path continues and they earn more. Put the sleep room next to the arcade or the kids zone and it is too noisy to sleep, so it earns less. A multiplier preview shows before you place anything, so move things around until the route fits.

[Korean bathhouse details] Baked eggs, sikhye, sheep-head towels, kiln saunas, salt rooms, scrub stations, sleep rooms. In the dog days of summer, guests fight heat with heat and the kiln sauna fills up. The day exams end, students pour in. On the winter solstice, guests linger over a bowl of red bean porridge. You host events such as Sheep-Head Towel Day yourself.

[30 facilities, 6 kinds of guests] Hot and cold tubs, kiln saunas, salt rooms, ice rooms, scrub stations, barbers, snack counters, diners, sleep rooms, massage chairs, comic rooms, kids zones, arcades, open-air baths, lazy rivers, water slides, big saunas and VIP rooms. Aunties, uncles, students, office workers, families and tourists arrive as you move up through the stages. Win a guest over and they become a regular, with a story saved in the guest book.

[7 stages, and the building grows] Start as a neighborhood bathhouse and move up through Spa, Men's and Women's Saunas, Scrub & Rub and Family Zone to Water Park, then on to Spa Land. Each stage widens the building sideways and opens new facilities. Facilities you can't open yet still show in the store list, so the next path is always in sight.

[Going further] Upgrade facilities up to 3 levels, and pick research such as a signboard or number tickets to raise guest numbers and how much they spend. Compete for rank against other bathhouses in bulletins such as Neighborhood Bathhouse News and the city spa guide.

[Every day ends with a receipt] A day lasts 2 minutes, and you can run it at 1x to 3x speed. When it ends, a receipt lists admission, snack counter, diner, service and lounge, so you can see where the money came from. Even while the app is closed, the bathhouse earns a little. On iPad the game fills the whole screen and looks bigger.

Available in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese.
