Looking Glass Edinburgh Tour
Not claimedA castle on a volcanic rock
By FITTING INTELLIGENCE PTY LTD · TravelWhy we expect it: A thoughtful, well-described walking guide with offline maps, 114 stories and clear value for curious Edinburgh visitors.
About
A castle on a volcanic rock. A narrow close with a story to tell. A quiet path beside the Water of Leith.
Looking Glass Edinburgh Tour helps you see a little more of the city, at your own pace. Choose the places that interest you, plan your walk, then read or listen as you explore.
15 PLACES TO DISCOVER Explore Edinburgh Castle, Camera Obscura, the Royal Mile, St Giles’, Mary King’s Close, Greyfriars, the National Museum of Scotland and Victoria Street. Head towards Holyrood, Arthur’s Seat and Calton Hill, or discover Princes Street Gardens, Stockbridge and Dean Village. Royal Yacht Britannia is included as a separate visit to Leith.
OVER TWO HOURS OF STORIES Listen to 114 stop chapters and a welcome introduction, or read the same stories on screen. Choose a chapter, pause for a closer look, or move to the next stop. Photographs, historical images and source references help bring the stories into focus.
A WALK THAT FITS YOUR DAY Pick your stops and choose a starting landmark or your current location. The app optimises your visit order automatically when your selection changes. You can also sort sites yourself or choose to return to your starting point. Mark places visited as you go.
READY BEFORE YOU SET OFF Maps, written stories, photographs and recorded narration are included for offline use. No account is needed. Optional location access shows your position and direction while using the app. External websites and directions in other apps may require internet access.
An independent guide, not an admission ticket or an official attraction app. Entry, opening times and access arrangements are set by each attraction; admission and transport are separate. Edinburgh has steep hills, steps and cobbles. Routes are map-derived: follow public paths, local signs and current closures. Arthur’s Seat is an optional climb; the app’s stop is at the lower park approach. Plan transport to Britannia separately.
Includes AI-generated English narration. Photo and map credits are available in the app.
