In short

Murano Nights is a glassblowing timing game set in a candlelit Venetian workshop, where you blow molten glass to match a patron's chalk-drawn silhouette before it cools. It is aimed at players who like timing-based puzzles and collecting, and it works fully offline. One distinctive feature is the Recipe Book, where mixing two frits can reveal one of 16 glass colours.

About

Night has fallen over Murano. The furnace is glowing, and the patrons of Venice are waiting for their glass.

Murano Nights is a glassblowing timing game. A blowpipe turns over the furnace, and a gather of molten glass hangs from its end. Behind it, a patron's order is drawn in chalk. Your job is to blow the glass into that shape before it cools.

BLOW, REHEAT, SHAPE • Hold the top of the screen to blow. Every ring of glass that is still hot swells, and the hotter rings swell faster. • Glass cools every second, so hold the furnace mouth to lower the gather back into the fire. The tip heats first and the neck heats last. • A long breath rounds out a belly. A quick puff raises only the hottest ring and leaves a rib. • Swell a ring too far and the piece bursts. • Tap Finish when the glass matches the chalk, or the piece is cut as it is when the 45-second timer runs out.

APPRAISAL Each piece is scored on how closely it matches the silhouette, from 0 to 100. A match of 70, 85 or 95 earns one, two or three stars. Every commission pays its fee in ducats, scaled by the match.

DAILY COMMISSIONS Three new commissions arrive each day, each with its own patron, silhouette, colour and fee. Once all three are done, walk-in customers keep the furnace busy.

THE WORKSHOP Spend ducats on a hotter Furnace for faster reheating, finer Pipes for slower cooling and steadier Bellows for a higher burst limit. Each tool has five levels.

THE GALLERY Every piece of two stars or more is kept, drawn from its own shape and colour. Place your pieces on the gallery shelves. Every four masterpieces raise your patron tier, and richer patrons bring finer silhouettes and pay 25% more.

THE RECIPE BOOK Three-star pieces earn coloured frits: cobalt, gold, copper, manganese, iron, tin and selenium. Mix two frits in the crucible to discover one of 16 glass colours, such as Aventurine Blue, Lagoon Teal and Gold Ruby. Some pairs are duds. Choose a colour for your next pieces, and a commission that asks for that colour pays double.

RISE IN THE GUILD Every round earns guild points and moves you up the ranks from Apprentice to Journeyman, Craftsman, Master and Maestro. As you rise, the shapes get harder, with more ribs, tighter curves and faster cooling.

ALSO • Painted candlelit Venetian workshop • Plays fully offline: no account and no purchases • Sound, music, haptics and left-handed controls in Settings
