In short

Nanopik is a macOS 14 or later app that opens a photo folder in place, with no import or catalog, for photographers sorting thousands of frames after a shoot. Ratings from zero to five are set with a single key, rejects go to the Trash with a double tap of Right Shift and an Undo option, and RAW and JPEG files stay paired when filtered, exported, or renamed. One notable feature is that it merges frames from several cameras by capture time and can shift a camera's clock to line them up.

About

Built for photographers who come home from a wedding or an event and sit down in front of a few thousand frames.

It opens your shoot folder right where it sits. No import, no catalog, no sidecar files. Ratings live in the app, so only photos are left in your folder.

■ Throw away rejects without a dialog Right Shift is exactly where your little finger rests when your hand is on the arrow keys. Tap it twice and the frame goes to the Trash — no confirmation, and Undo appears at the bottom of the screen.

■ Pick with one key Zero to five. Pressing a number is the whole workflow. Filter by rating, then export only what you picked — RAW and JPEG travel together as a pair.

■ When your cameras disagree on the time Every body's frames are merged into one strip by capture time. A clump of one colour means that camera's clock is off. Grab the handle, drag, and that camera's whole clock moves — then write the corrected times into the files if you want.

■ First aid for a ruined frame Temperature, tint, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, saturation, straighten and crop. Edits stay on screen; the original file is untouched until you save.

■ A slideshow that keeps up 0.1 second minimum interval. Space starts and stops it, the arrow keys change the speed — hands off, eyes only.

■ Also · RAW viewing — Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm and more · Batch rename that keeps RAW and JPEG together as a pair · Undo and redo, gathered in one place on the Edit menu · Thumbnails, Gallery, Full screen — one key cycles them · A folder tree to browse with · English and Korean

■ What it is not This is not a develop editor. RAW is view-only, and the adjustments are first aid for JPEGs. It builds no catalog, so it does not manage many folders in one database. Its job is picking, and the steps just before and after it.

■ Requires macOS 14.0 or later
