Rollmuse MIDI Print Studio

Rollmuse turns your MIDI files into clean, printable piano-roll charts for teaching, arranging and visual review on iPhone and iPad.

PUT THE NOTES ON PAPER Import a Standard MIDI file from Files. Pitch runs across the chart and time flows downward, with quarter-beat rulers and a keyboard-style pitch reference. Color identifies each selected track. Tap a page for a larger scrollable view. These are pitch-and-time diagrams, not engraved staff notation.

CHOOSE THE PART YOU NEED Select up to eight note tracks and a range of up to 512 quarter beats. Choose A4 or US Letter, and 8, 16 or 32 quarter beats per page. Turn on note labels where they fit, or use black ink. The chart and export come from the same selected notes and layout. Source tempo and meter changes are visible in MIDI details; chart spacing uses quarter beats rather than assuming a fixed time signature.

KEEP REUSABLE LAYOUTS Your imported sources and working settings save locally. Rename and reopen projects, save named layout versions, load them again, and rename or delete them. The library starts empty. An optional original two-voice study shows the real workflow using the same parser and exporter as imported files.

DELIVER REAL FILES Share a ZIP with a multi-page Charts.pdf, vector Page-NN.svg files, Notes.csv, Layout.json, Readme.txt and your unchanged Source.mid. The CSV records track, channel, MIDI pitch, note name, velocity, exact source onset/end, tempo-aware seconds and the visible clipping bounds. It retains every selected note even when same-pitch tracks overlap on the diagram.

iPad gives you a working track/layout inspector beside large print pages, with two pages on wide landscape screens. iPhone keeps the chart in front and opens focused layout, saved-version and output views.

One upfront purchase. No subscription, in-app purchases, account, ads, analytics, tracking or developer-server upload.

Supports Standard MIDI format 0 and 1 with PPQ timing, up to 4 MB, 128 source tracks, 50,000 note pairs, 200,000 events and 8,192 quarter beats. Up to 30 local projects and 20 named layouts per project. Format 2, SMPTE timing, damaged files and unmatched note pairs are rejected. Notes use key-down duration; sustain pedal, controllers, expression and program sounds are not applied. Zero-duration notes use a minimum visible mark. SVG text appearance can vary with the viewer's fonts.

Rollmuse does not play or synthesize MIDI, transcribe audio, edit source notes, connect to instruments, create mechanical player-piano rolls or assess performances. Keep original files separately. The chart package is not an importable library backup. It includes the original MIDI and track metadata: review files before sharing and use music you have rights to process and distribute.
