In short

Sky Routes is a quiet airline tycoon game with no timers, ads, or in-app purchases. Players start in an era from 1925 to the present, then build networks across 548 airports, compete with 218 rival carriers, and manage fleets, fares, and finances. One notable feature is that history, from the Depression to 2020, shapes the calendar and the market.

About

A quiet airline tycoon. No timers, no ads, no in-app purchases — you buy the game once and it is yours.

Pick a starting era, a home airport and a name. Then keep going: 548 airports in 165 countries, 218 rival carriers running their own economies, and a market that reacts to what you do.

A CENTURY OF FLYING Start in 1925 with an eight-seat biplane and a mail contract, in 1952 when the oceans open, in 1965 with the first jets, or in the present with everything unlocked. Airports appear on the map as history builds them. Aircraft types are certified one by one, 30 of them from 1922 to today, with real range, seats and fuel burn under invented names. Money changes value over the decades: in the early eras your fares follow the market, later a fare left alone quietly becomes a discount.

BUILD A NETWORK Open routes, assign aircraft, and watch load factors decide whether a line pays for itself. Hubs reward concentration. Long, thin routes need range; short, fat ones need seats. Fares and wages differ by region — a cheap-labour hub is a strategy, not a penalty.

RUN A BUSINESS Lease or buy, new or used. Take a credit line when the winter is lean, hedge fuel before a spike, research fuel efficiency, or run a marketing campaign when reputation matters more than cash. Take the airline public and watch the share price judge you.

COMPETE, OR SWALLOW THE COMPETITION Every world rolls its own rivals: the same airline can be aggressive in one game and patient in the next. They open routes against yours, undercut your fares, and go bankrupt when they overreach — their fleets go to auction. Buy a struggling carrier and keep its brand flying as a subsidiary, or integrate its routes into your own. Apply to an alliance, or found one and decide who gets in. One rival will declare you their nemesis.

WEATHER THE WORLD History arrives on the calendar: the Depression, the war, the oil crises, 2001, 2008 and 2020 hit in the years they happened, some with warning in the news. Fuel spikes, earthquakes, strikes and holiday seasons come on top — you decide whether to ground the fleet, slash fares, or ride it out.

A HISTORY OF YOUR OWN The chronicle keeps your airline's story decade by decade: first jet, first intercontinental route, first billion, and the world events you flew through.

PLAY YOUR WAY Endless sandbox, or a goal: dominate a region, reach number one by revenue or profit, or buy out every rival. A weekly challenge gives everyone the same world and the same era.

IPHONE AND IPAD The map wraps around the globe and is deliberately cheap to draw, so a large late-game network stays smooth.

In 12 languages, switchable inside the game: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Turkish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (simplified and traditional).
