Stencil asks you to find the words hiding in plain sight. Cross out one letter in each row and each column. The letters that remain must form words in both directions. You have four checks to make everything fit.
EASY TO LEARN. ROOM TO THINK. Tap a letter to cut it; tap again to restore it. Explore the board freely with Undo and Clear. A check is spent only when there is exactly one cut in every row and column. Rechecking the same pattern is free. Each valid check shows which words fit your current pattern.
YOUR DAILY CHALLENGE Choose Starter, Easy, Standard, or Expert on the Daily screen or in Settings. Starter and Easy use 4×4 boards; Standard and Expert use 5×5 boards. Your selected level stays saved, and switching levels preserves your progress on the others. A new board arrives at local midnight, ready to play offline. Players on the same app content version, calendar date, and level get the same board. The first Daily level you finish determines that date’s streak and statistics result. Share a result that keeps the solution hidden.
PRACTICE AT YOUR PACE Generate new Practice boards in Starter, Easy, Standard, or Expert. Stencil remembers boards used on this device to help avoid repeats. The original fixed warm-up boards remain available. Practice does not affect your Daily record.
CELEBRATE YOUR PROGRESS Choose to connect to Apple Game Center for achievements: your first daily solve, seven consecutive daily solves, thirty daily solves in total, and a daily solve in one check. Eligible results already saved on your device count when you first connect. Game Center is optional and off by default; every puzzle remains playable without it.
JUST THE GAME No SageKey Labs account is needed. No ads, subscriptions, purchases, or paid hints. Your puzzle saves and statistics stay on your device. Optional Game Center sends achievement progress and game activity to Apple; it does not sync your puzzle saves. Light and dark appearances, optional haptics, scalable text, and VoiceOver labels help you play your way.
