In short

WayPoint Pics places each trip's photos on a map, drawing a route between them day by day so a vacation reads as a path. It suits travellers who want to share shots with family or friends, with trip members seeing each other's location while out and a link that needs no account to view. One standout is Vacation Mode, which uploads photos automatically as they are taken, even with the app closed.

About

WayPoint puts your trip on a map. Every photo you take lands where you took it, so a vacation becomes a route you can follow — day by day, place by place — instead of a pile of files.

VACATION MODE Turn it on when the trip starts and photos upload themselves as you shoot. Turn on "Keep up with me" and they go up seconds after the shutter, even with the app closed, while the people you're travelling with follow along on the map.

YOUR TRIP, AS A ROUTE A map of everywhere you've been, with the day's path drawn between photos. Tap any spot to see what you shot there. Days get their own colour and their own place name, so "Day 3 · Plymouth" means something.

TRAVEL TOGETHER Invite family and friends to a trip and everyone's photos land on the same map. See where each other is while you're out. Share a trip with a link — no account needed to look.

SEARCH EVERYTHING Find a photo by what's in it, across every trip you've ever taken. "Greek salad" finds the Greek salad.

Photos are shrunk on your device before upload so a two-week trip doesn't eat your data plan, and their location is always preserved — a photo without a place never happens.

WayPoint uses your location, with your permission, to show trip members where you are on the trip map and to upload photos as you take them. It's off by default and stops the moment Vacation Mode does.
