Lettrine is a word game where players move from a starting word to a target by changing one letter at a time, with every step a real word. It offers one shared daily puzzle in English and French, plus an endless mode that keeps getting harder. A standout detail is that rejected moves carry no penalty, and every puzzle in the calendar has been checked to be solvable without hints.

Start from one word. Reach the target by changing a single letter at a time.

Every word along the way has to be a real one. That's the whole rule — the rest is your vocabulary and your patience.
ONE PUZZLE A DAY The same one for everyone, in English and in French. Solving it extends your streak. Sharing it never gives the words away: all anyone sees is the shape of your path.
AN ENDLESS MODE For when one puzzle a day stops being enough. Difficulty climbs with you, and doesn't climb back down.
NO PUNISHMENT A rejected move costs nothing: no mistake counter, no lives, no timer. Backtracking is allowed, it just costs moves. The perfect path is the shortest one — you can win perfectly well without it.
YOU ARE NEVER STUCK Hints are paid for with stars, and stars are earned by playing. You can buy them to move faster, but every puzzle is solvable without a single hint. That's verified for every puzzle in the calendar, one by one.
