pippi - Picture in Picture

Your videos, with room for everything else. pippi is an iPhone video player that brings videos from Photos and Files into Picture in Picture.

WATCH IN A FLOATING WINDOW Tap the Picture in Picture button or swipe up to keep watching while using another app. Rotate your iPhone for full-screen playback.

MAKE PLAYBACK YOUR OWN - Save a playback speed from 0.5× to 2× for each video. - Choose one or two skip buttons in each direction, with 3, 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 second intervals. - Use swipes to seek, return to your library or start Picture in Picture. - Double-tap the video to play or pause. Enable each gesture individually in Settings. - Pick up where you left off with saved playback positions.

A LIBRARY WORTH COMING BACK TO Find videos with thumbnails, folders, search and custom display names. Renaming a video in pippi does not rename the original.

FROM PHOTOS, FILES OR THE SHARE SHEET Videos selected inside pippi remain references to the originals. The regular share extension saves a copy so it stays available later. Add the ready-made shortcut from Settings to open the main app and play directly from a share sheet. Each library entry shows how its video is stored.

SIMPLE AND PRIVATE No account or ads. Your videos and library are not uploaded to the developer's servers. Choose system, light or dark appearance and use Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Spanish or Korean.

All features are free. An optional, repeatable “Buy the developer a coffee” in-app purchase is available in Settings. It does not unlock features and is not a subscription.

Requires iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Playback formats depend on iOS support. iOS manages the controls inside the Picture in Picture window, so the app's custom buttons and gestures do not apply there.
