PreReel is a fishing camera that is always one step ahead. While the app is open, it quietly keeps a rolling buffer of what just happened. When a fish bites and you hit record, the seconds before you pressed are saved together with everything after, in one clip.

PRE-ROLL THAT CATCHES THE MOMENT - Choose 15, 30, 60 or 120 seconds of pre-roll - Hit record late and still keep the strike, the hookset and the splash - Stop recording and PreReel saves the clip to Photos, then goes straight back to pre-roll

HANDS BUSY? JUST SAY IT - Offline voice commands: say “Start recording” or “Stop recording” - Speech is recognized on your iPhone, so it works without a signal - Customize the phrases to suit you

CONTROL IT FROM YOUR WRIST OR EARBUDS - Apple Watch app: start and stop recording, see the pre-roll status and your iPhone’s battery, and feel a tap when recording starts or ends - Track a fishing workout on Apple Watch and save it to the Health app - Use the play/pause button on Bluetooth headphones, or AirPods camera remote on supported models with iOS 26 - Volume buttons can start and stop recording too

BUILT FOR LONG DAYS ON THE WATER - Power-saving mode dims the screen while pre-roll keeps running, with a large battery gauge - Optional automatic night light turns on the flashlight when you start recording in very dark conditions - Clear start and stop sounds so you know it’s recording without looking - Choose your lens and video quality, up to what your iPhone supports

PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No account, no ads, no third-party analytics - PreReel never uploads your videos; clips are saved to your Photos library

Good to know: iOS doesn’t allow the camera to keep recording when the screen is locked or the app is in the background. Keep PreReel open (power-saving mode helps) and it will be ready when the fish is.
