CamControl for Sony

CamControl for Sony turns your iPhone or iPad into a wireless remote for compatible Sony Alpha and Cinema Line cameras. Join the camera's Wi-Fi and the app finds it for you — no IP addresses, no dongle, no computer — and it remembers your camera's login after the first connect.

LIVE VIEW & CAPTURE • Live view with rule-of-thirds grid and full-screen mode • Start/stop movie recording, with the camera's record state confirmed on screen • AF-aware still capture

MENU & CAMERA CONTROL • Navigate the camera's own menu system from your phone: MENU, Fn, a jog dial and SET • Playback, C1 and AF-ON buttons, driven like the real thing — watch the camera screen • Full exposure control: shutter, aperture, ISO, exposure compensation, white balance, focus mode, drive mode, picture profile, movie format and frame rate

MULTICAM • Connect several cameras for a live tile grid • REC ALL / STOP ALL across every connected body

CARDS & CLIPS • Card slot status with remaining shots and record time • In-app card formatting (quick and full) • Browse card contents with thumbnails and instant on-phone previews of your stills • Play movies straight off the card — the clip downloads with progress and plays in the app • Delete shots from the card: one at a time from the viewer, or select several and delete together (always confirmed first; RAW+JPEG pairs are treated as one shot)

CONNECTIONS • Auto-discovery on the camera's own Wi-Fi hotspot or your network — the app fingerprints Sony bodies and fills in the address • Talks straight to the camera using Sony's PC Remote (network) mode with Access Authentication • Bluetooth trigger remote: pair once and fire record or shutter with no network at all • Demo mode with a virtual camera, so you can try every feature before connecting your own

COMPATIBILITY Built and tested on the A7R VI. Designed for recent Sony bodies that support network PC Remote with Access Authentication, including Alpha and Cinema Line models such as the FX3, FX30, A7 IV, A7R V and A1.

Requires a Sony camera with PC Remote (network) enabled on the same Wi-Fi network.
