Golden Carrack is a single-player, turn-based strategy game that brings together trade, production and tactical naval combat. Build your fortune in a colourful medieval world and compete with 12 captains, each pursuing their own ambitions.
TURN TRADE INTO FORTUNE Buy where goods are plentiful and sell where they are scarce. Supply, demand and rival captains reshape the markets. Find a profitable cargo, plan a voyage across several turns and change course when danger appears.
BUILD THE BUSINESS BEHIND YOUR FLEET Invest in warehouses, workshops, mines, fisheries and beehives. Combine raw materials into valuable products and develop your own supply chains. Borrow to fund an opportunity, but leave enough gold to repay your debts. Your investments belong to you; cities are places to do business, not territory to conquer.
MASTER WIND AND BROADSIDES Command your ships in turn-based battles on a hex board. Read the wind, manoeuvre into position and bring your broadside guns to bear. Use islands for cover, weigh a retreat against another salvo and recover part of a defeated enemy's cargo when your fleet has room.
CHOOSE YOUR REPUTATION Prosper through honest trade or risk smuggling, privateering and sabotage. Political, economic and criminal connections offer different advantages. Your reputation can earn rewards or expose you to inspections, fines and elimination. Every shortcut has a price.
A WORLD THAT KEEPS CHANGING Merchants, industrialists and privateers develop their own fleets and investments. Pirate raids threaten vulnerable waters. New contracts and smuggling offers arrive over time, recurring events disrupt your plans and technological breakthroughs permanently change the economy.
