Forest Chef lets players forage forest ingredients, trade them for staples, and cook pies, soups and pancakes for picky animal neighbours. It is aimed at children, including pre-readers who can use a read-aloud option, and at adults wanting a calm break. One notable feature is the Forest School, where cards teach about moose, cloudberries and Midsummer with no quizzes.
