Hoopers Court

Tap a teammate and the ball goes there. Tap the floor and your player runs to that spot. When the shot is yours, one timing meter slides across the bottom of the screen: stop it in the green and it probably drops, miss the green and it probably rims out. The green shrinks the further you are from the basket, so a corner three asks more of you than a layup.

The same meter runs your defence. Time it in the green for a strong chance at a steal or a block. Swing early and you risk a foul or watching your man go by.

Hoopers Court is a single-player 5v5 basketball game. Pick a fictional club and play a quick match, or take it through a 24-game season and an eight-team playoff bracket. Every game starts like a broadcast, with the run-out from the tunnel and each starter under a follow spot, and the crowd reacts to every dunk and clutch three.

BUILD YOUR CLUB Matches pay coins. Spend them in the Training Center on five drills, Shooting, Speed, Defense, Stamina and Passing, each from level 0 to 10, and each level changes how your team plays: a wider release window, faster legs, more steals and blocks, slower fatigue, cleaner passes. Six original legends, from the playmaker Aurelio Vance to the rim protector Magnus Thorne, can sign with your club and start. Power-ups like Green Light, Hands Up and Fresh Legs sit in a dock you can fire mid-game. Coaches, courts and balls change the look and the tactics.

PLAY YOUR WAY The on-screen buttons are off by default, and you can switch them on in Settings. Drag anywhere to steer your player with a hidden stick that appears only while you move.

OPTIONAL ACCOUNT Guests play everything. Make a free account in Settings to back up your club to the cloud, pick it up on another device and post to the leaderboard. You can sign out or delete the account in Settings.

THE PRO SHOP Every item except the two whale bundles can also be earned with coins. The Locker sells coin packs, a one-time Starter Pack, Training Boost (+2 levels on every drill), Superstar Signing, the Chrome Ball, Court Pack and Pro Kit, the Dynasty Bundle (Training Center maxed, two legends, every court and ball, 50,000 coins) and the Owner Suite (everything in Dynasty plus the Gold Arena, Gold Ball, a legendary coach, an owner badge and 150,000 coins).

HOOPERS PASS An auto-renewing monthly subscription. While it is active you earn double coins from every game, claim 500 coins a day, get +1 on every Training drill, and unlock that month's exclusive jersey. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. The Pass renews each month at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings, or from Manage in the Locker.

Clubs and players are fictional, and Hoopers Court has no link to any professional league.
