Premium adds every other instrument and tuning, strobe mode, any reference pitch, accents, triplets and sixteenths, the speed trainer and practice timer, drones with a fifth, and four more metronome sounds plus the warm and organ tones. Plans: $2.99 a week or $19.99 a year with a 3-day free trial, $4.99 a month, or $29.99 once for life. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and you can manage them in your Apple Account settings.

The microphone is used only while the tuner is open, to hear the note. Nothing is recorded, stored or sent.
