À propos

Dev Board Toolkit plans microcontroller projects. Pick a board, add your sensors, displays and parts, and it finds pins that work, checks for conflicts, draws the wiring and writes the pin set-up code. It also plans hand-wired keyboards, from layout to matrix to QMK and ZMK configuration.

BOARDS • Pin maps drawn from the maker's own documents, with every pin's functions and cautions: boot and strapping pins, input-only pins, ADC2 with Wi-Fi, flash and PSRAM pins, USB pins, NFC pins, 5 V tolerance • Wireless and USB facts: Wi-Fi standard and bands, Bluetooth Classic and LE, Thread, Zigbee, Matter, ESP-NOW, LoRa, native USB and HID • Board finder: filter by radio, USB HID, free pins, ADC pins, battery charger and more • Compare up to three boards side by side • Every fact lists its source document

PIN PLANNER • Add modules and parts; pins are assigned automatically, and you can lock or move any of them • Conflict checks: I²C address clashes, SPI chip selects, strapping pins, input-only pins, pins that toggle at boot, current limits • Wiring diagram in jumper-wire colours: red power, black ground, yellow SDA, green SCL, blue SPI • Starter code: C++ sketch (Arduino IDE), MicroPython, CircuitPython and ESPHome YAML • Pin table and parts list as CSV, wiring diagram as PDF or SVG, a wiring checklist and a project PDF

LED ON A PIN • Series resistor at the pin's real logic level, snapped to E12 or E24 • Pin and total current against the board's limits, transistor drive when a pin can't supply it, and a warning when a blue or white LED has too little headroom on 3.3 V

KEYBOARD PLANNER • Presets or KLE import; splits, ortho layouts and macropads • Rows × columns for your controller's free pins, diode direction, encoders, OLED, RGB with a brightness cap for the USB budget • Trackpads and trackballs: Cirque and Azoteq trackpads and PMW3360 sensors, with their bus, interrupt and reset pins • Generates configuration for QMK and ZMK firmware, a plate SVG and DXF, keycap counts and a hand-wiring checklist

POWER, LEDS AND BUSES • Power budget from your parts, regulator heat, battery life with sleep • Addressable LED strips: current, power injection, wire gauge, data level shifting • I²C address finder, pull-up sizing, UART baud error, SPI wire length

LIBRARY AND BENCH • About 100 modules: sensors, displays, radios, drivers, level shifters, LEDs, audio, power • Maker library: components and their pin orders, connectors, protocols, power, reference tables and short how-tos • Ohm's law, LED resistor, divider, RC, colour codes, SMD codes, E-series, wire gauge, units

Works with boards such as Raspberry Pi Pico and Pico 2, Raspberry Pi 4, Arduino Uno, Nano, Mega and Leonardo-format boards, ESP32, ESP32-S3, C3 and C6 DevKits, Seeed XIAO, Pro Micro-format and nice!nano-format controllers, Adafruit Feather and QT Py, Teensy 4.x, STM32 Black Pill and more. Trademarks belong to their owners; this app is not made or endorsed by them.

Projects keep the board, parts, pin plan, power plan, keyboard plan, notes, photos and checklists, and export as a .devboard file.

Works offline. No account, no ads, no tracking.

Check every plan against your board's silkscreen and datasheet before you power it. Low-voltage DC only; the app does not cover mains wiring.
