Munin is a tactics coach that works anywhere: on a plane, on the train, in a cabin with no signal. Every puzzle, the engine and all your progress live on your device.

WORKS OFFLINE • 275,000 selected puzzles from beginner to master, built into the app • No internet needed to train, review or play on against the engine • Flight sessions of 10, 20 or 30 minutes

REMEMBERS WHAT YOU MISSED • Every missed puzzle comes back with spaced repetition: after 10 minutes, then 1, 3, 8 and 21 days • Cycle mode: solve the same set again and again, faster and more accurate each round • 72 themes, from forks and pins to back-rank mates, with your weak themes marked • Openings: the tactics of the Sicilian, the French, the Caro-Kann and 34 more

LEARNS FROM YOUR OWN GAMES • Mistake book: import your public games from Lichess or Chess.com by username • Your games are analysed on your device by the built-in Arasan engine, and the moves that cost you turn into puzzles

FIND YOUR LEVEL • A short placement test gives you a rating and a rank, from Pawn to King • Glicko-2 rating that adjusts as you train • Stats: rating graph, accuracy per theme, cycle rounds and streak

PLAY IT OUT • After a puzzle, play the position on against the engine at the strength you choose • Any checkmate counts as a solution, even if it isn't the one in the book
