Translate works offline after you download its languages: Apple's system languages on iOS 18 or later, or an optional 1.3 GB on-device model for Malay and for iOS 17, on devices with enough memory. No account. No ads. No subscription.

Saved rates remain available offline, with their dates shown. A connection is needed only to refresh rates and to download translation languages or the translation model. Reference rates can differ from the rate you pay. Translations come from on-device models and can be wrong. Phrase content is a travel aid and is not an emergency service.
