BEFORE YOU LEAVE The countdown, your destination’s season month by month (including where NOT to go, and why), a packing list to tick off, the safari quiz, country stories and 114 cards on parks, animals, natural wonders and peoples to read on the plane.

ON THE TRIP Your day hour by hour, with sunrise and sunset calculated for where you are. The trip map with your stops, the parks and your location, even in airplane mode. The sightings notebook: log a species with one tap and find out how rare it is. Currency, ten phrases in the local language, emergency numbers and where you’re sleeping tonight, always to hand.

STAMPS AND CERTIFICATES Enter a park with location on and the stamp is added by itself: 54 parks in ten countries, to collect trip after trip. Cross the Tropic of Capricorn or the Equator by road and your certificate arrives, ready to share.
