Flyframe is a party trick.

Point your iPhone at a room, a table, a friend on a couch — tap once — and you've captured it in 3D. Then you can walk back inside that moment, or fly through it like a tiny drone. Hand someone the phone. Watch their face.

That's the app.

HOW THE TRICK WORKS Wave your phone around slowly. Flyframe uses the LiDAR scanner to build a live 3D mesh while the camera grabs how it looks. Tap the shutter. Done. It's sitting in your gallery.

THREE WAYS TO CAPTURE • Mesh — just the 3D shape. Clean, a little ghostly, weirdly satisfying. • Photo — a photo projected onto the mesh, so the scan looks like the real thing. • Multi — walk around and take a few shots from different angles. Surfaces pick up the best detail. This one's a small one-time unlock. Mesh and Photo are free.

THEN THE FUN PART Open a capture and pick your flavor of showing off: • 3D Preview — spin it, pinch it, look at it from angles that shouldn't exist. • Walk Around — step into the scan in AR. The scene lines up with where you're standing, so you can physically walk around inside a moment you already left. • Fly Drone — on-screen joysticks, no gravity, no walls. Fly through your kitchen like a ghost. (A virtual fly-through. Not a real drone. Your furniture is safe.)

TAKE IT TO A PARTY Scan the living room. Hand someone your phone. Tell them to walk. That's the whole bit. It works on objects, rooms, and whatever's in front of you that you feel like trapping in 3D.

PRIVATE, ON PURPOSE Captures live on your device. No account. No cloud. No tracking. Your party stays your party.

WHAT YOU NEED Flyframe is built for iPhone 15 Pro-class devices and later — anything with LiDAR. iPhone Pro and iPad Pro. Without LiDAR you can still snap photos, but the 3D trick needs the scanner.

TIPS (FROM SOMEONE WHO'S DONE THIS AT A TABLE) • Move slowly. The mesh fills in as you go. • Walk Around is better in a well-lit room with space to actually walk. • Multi mode is worth it if you want the scan to look less like a sketch and more like "wait, that's our apartment."

Includes an optional one-time In-App Purchase for Multi capture mode.

Requires iOS 17 and an iPhone 15 Pro-class device (or later).
