ForeTake combines space-saving video, one-tap highlights, original photos and capture trails in one camera and editing workspace. It is made for walks, trips, family moments and any recording where the best part arrives unexpectedly.

MAKE ROOM FOR THE BEST MOMENTS Use a lower bitrate for everyday footage and a higher target for highlights. Tap Highlight while recording to raise the quality of the following footage and mark it on the timeline. Adjust both targets during a take, and see changes as colored bitrate bars. Optional HD look-back keeps available recent footage so a highlight can begin before your tap.

PHOTOS THAT TRAVEL WITH YOUR VIDEO Capture photos while filming, import originals, or extract a frame later. Original photos can be stored inside an exported video, together with highlight markers and capture information. Import that unmodified video to restore the included material. Choose separate photo saves when you want pictures to appear individually in Photos.

FIND THE MOMENT AND THE VIEWPOINT Drag a shared thumbnail timeline to move through footage and photos. Where capture data is available, follow the geographic trail, explore camera positions in local space, or use the direction sphere to see where the lens pointed. Tap a small preview to make it the main view. Basic motion trails work without GPS; optional visual-inertial tracking can improve local positioning on supported devices.

A LIBRARY YOU CAN MANAGE Trim highlights, export selected moments or keep the complete recording. Check linked Photos copies, save multiple takes, and verify an original recovery video before releasing its local media. Limited Photos access is handled without assuming that an unseen item has been deleted.

YOUR CAMERA, YOUR CHOICES Choose HEVC or H.264, supported resolutions up to 4K, frame rate, microphone audio, automatic recording and location settings. Switch between simple, detailed and immersive viewfinders. Capture and editing take place on your device, with no account, advertising or third-party analytics.

Capture requires the app to remain in the foreground. Available formats depend on the device and camera. HD look-back and visual tracking use more power. Motion-based positions are approximate and may drift; trails are for reviewing camera positions, not navigation or measurement. Photo recovery requires an original export that still contains its archive; editing, transcoding or some sharing methods can remove it. Location and motion information may accompany shared originals. Photos and iCloud follow your system settings.
