Speedowski turns your iPhone into a simple, accurate speedometer for your bike or scooter. Mount your phone where you can see it, open the app, and watch your live GPS speed in big, glanceable numbers — nothing else on the screen.

HOW IT WORKS • Open the app and allow location access once. Speedowski reads your GPS speed live and shows it full-screen, in mph. • Two small stats sit below the main number: your top speed and your average moving speed for the current ride. • Works in portrait or landscape, so it reads clearly no matter how you've mounted your phone.

BUILT FOR REAL RIDING Ordinary GPS speed readings get noisy at low speed — exactly when a kid coasting, a scooter creeping through traffic, or you slowing for a turn needs the number to be right. Speedowski runs an adaptive filter that weighs every GPS reading by how confident it is, so the display stays steady without lagging behind real acceleration. A small signal-quality badge tells you when a reading might be shaky, and Speedowski will prompt you to switch on Precise Location if your device is set to Approximate, since accurate speed can't be calculated without it.

EASY ON YOUR BATTERY The whole screen is pure black, which costs next to nothing to display on an OLED iPhone screen, and there are no animations competing for the GPU. Speedowski only tracks location while it's open and visible on-screen — it stops instantly the moment you leave the app, so there's no drain running in the background.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No ads. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. No account. No tracking of any kind. Speedowski has no network code at all — it works exactly the same with Wi-Fi and cellular off. The only thing saved on your device is a single yes/no flag for whether you've seen the onboarding screen; your top speed and average moving speed reset every time you open the app and are never written to disk or sent anywhere. Speedowski is part of Go Offline By Design: everything runs on your device.
