Your aunt has left you her little bakery on Rue des Moulins in Strasbourg — and Albus, the cat who came with it.

Every morning the street wakes up with you. Buy flour at the mill, butter at the dairy and salt at the grocer’s. At the bench, pour the scoops into the bowl, knead the dough to just the right texture, fold it and score it with a baker’s blade. Let the trays rise, slide them into the oven and take them out golden. Set your prices, open the door and watch the neighbors come in.
