Night Yard

A quiet puzzle about getting every train out of a busy yard, in the right order.

Tap a train and it rolls forward, the way its front is pointing. If the way is clear, it leaves the board. If something is parked in its path, they bump — so the whole puzzle is working out who can go, and when.

No timer. No score to chase. A level waits as long as you like, and a hint is always one tap away.

ENDLESS, AND IT REALLY IS Levels are built on your device as you reach them, so they never run out. Boards grow, trains lengthen, and the yard gets tighter. Chapters bring their own shapes — diamonds, rings, crescents, hourglasses — sixteen in all.

LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP Hold a finger on any train and the game shows exactly where it would go: green dots all the way out, or a red cross where it would bump. Letting go never sends it.

YOU CANNOT GET STUCK Clearing a train only ever makes room, so a level can never be spoiled by playing it in the wrong order. The bulb always has a safe answer, and if the board goes quiet the game points one out for free.

SIX STYLES Trains, signal arrows, snakes, night convoys, rockets or glow-worms. The pieces change, the puzzle underneath does not.

BUILD YOUR OWN Draw a yard, play it, and pass it on as a short code. Nothing is uploaded and no account is involved.

THE NIGHT SHIFT One board a day, made from the date, so everyone gets the same yard. No server, no sign-in.

MADE TO BE KIND - Every level, hint and heart is free. Nothing about the puzzle is behind a payment. - Losing a level costs nothing.
