Part-Time Defense

First day on the job. The doors open, and the customers flood in.

Part-Time Defense is a one-handed survival action game. Hold your ground and fend off waves of customers coming from every direction. Your weapons fire on their own — your only job is choosing which card to take each time you level up.

■ Seven part-time jobs Convenience Store Clerk — defend the register with a barcode scanner and plastic bags. School Cafeteria Cook — swing the ladle and sweep the aisles with pressure-cooker steam. Barista — freeze and grind with steam wands, ice floors and a coffee grinder. Pizza Delivery — fling pizza cutters and scorch them with oven heat. PC Cafe Worker — click, type and spin a gaming chair to keep the gamers in line. Parcel Loader — scanners, rice sacks, stamps and tape at the loading dock. Waterpark Lifeguard — water guns, tubes, whistles, wave pools and fountains.

Every job has its own stage, its own weapons and its own customers and bosses.

■ The more you pick, the stronger you get Every level-up offers three cards. Grab a new weapon or power up the one you have. Max out a weapon's upgrades and it awakens, completely changing its look and attack. Same job, different picks — every run plays out differently.

■ Difficult customers The longer you last, the tougher it gets. Refund-demanding customers show up, then crowned VIP troublemakers. Take them down for special cards you won't see anywhere else.

■ After your shift How long you survived becomes your wage, and your wage turns into coins. Buy new weapons in the Weapon Shop, dress up in the wardrobe, and use long-service bonuses to permanently power up your next run. The collection fills up with every customer you meet and every weapon you discover.

■ Ads only when you choose No banners. No pop-up ads. Reward ads play only when you tap the button yourself — to reroll cards, get back up once more, or double your final coins.
