Duo Aquarium

Duo Aquarium is a living fish tank for the screen that sits beside you. Shoals drift and turn together, catfish nose along the sand, and sunlight ripples across real scanned coral. Glance at it while you work. Let it slow your breathing before sleep. And share it, because this is a tank made for two.

MADE FOR TWO Duo is the heart of the app: two people, or two screens, around one tank.

• Visit a friend's tank. Turn on sharing and send your tank code or link. Whoever opens it sees your fish, your scenery and your lighting from anywhere in the world, and your changes reach them within a minute. • Two devices, one tank. Place two devices side by side and the aquarium stretches across both screens. Fish swim out of one and into the other, and either of you can drop in food. It works nearby over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, with no internet needed. • Keep someone close. Leave a visit running on your desk or bedside and you are both looking at the same water: a partner in another city, grandparents and grandkids, a friend overseas, the colleague across the office. • Your own tank is never touched by a visit. Leave whenever you like and it is waiting exactly as you left it.

WIND DOWN AT BEDTIME • Moonlight and reef-blue lighting, with an evening dim for a dark room. • A daily light cycle that follows the real day: daybreak in the morning, full light at midday, moonlight at night. • Calm music on a loop, soft water sound, or silence. Your choice. • Just the aquarium: hide the title and controls and let the tank fill the whole screen. • Nothing to win and nothing to lose. No scores, no streaks, no timers. Just slow, unhurried movement to watch until your eyes close.

A CALM CORNER OF YOUR DESK • Desk view turns your device into a quiet clock with the tank behind it. Choose the clock's position, font and format, add the date and local weather, and keep the screen awake. • Stand your iPhone or iPad on a charger and let it run while you work. A few seconds watching the shoal turn is a better break than another tab. • On Mac, keep it in a window beside your work, or go full screen and let it fill the display.

ON EVERY SCREEN • Beautiful on every iPhone and iPad, in portrait or landscape, and on Mac. • In landscape the scenery spreads to fill the whole width of the screen.

A TANK THAT FEELS ALIVE • 66 freshwater and reef fish: tetras, angelfish, discus, rainbowfish, clownfish, tangs, gobies and more. • Each one moves the way its kind really does. Shoaling fish hold together, tangs patrol the length of the tank, gobies hover near home, and bottom dwellers graze the sand. • Hard corals built from real 3D museum scans, with scanned sand, stone and driftwood. • Light that ripples across the sand the way sunlight does through moving water. • Tilt your device, or move the pointer on Mac, to look into the tank.

MAKE IT YOURS • Build a freshwater planted tank or a marine reef from 63 plants, corals, anemones, rocks and woods, and place corals on live rock. • Or tap Fill at random for a fresh tank in a second. • Tap any fish, plant or coral to learn what it is. • Feed the fish and watch them gather, then take a clean photo of your tank to share.

LITTLE COMFORTS • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets showing your tank and when the fish were last fed. • An optional daily feeding reminder that stays quiet if you have already fed them. • Siri and Shortcuts: "Feed my fish in Duo Aquarium".

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads and no tracking. Your tank lives on your device. Sharing is off until you turn it on, shares only your tank's layout and the name you choose, and stops the moment you turn it off.
