Dlaczego tak przewidujemy: The careful, honest description and clear value for action camera owners who need GPS metadata make this a promising niche debut.

W skrócie

RemoteGPS turns an iPhone into a Bluetooth GPS remote for DJI Osmo Action 4, 5 Pro and 6 cameras, which have no GPS of their own. It is aimed at action camera users who want location data embedded in their clips for telemetry overlays and mapping, and it can also save GPX tracks on the phone. One standout point is Auto Record, which starts and stops filming based on walking, climbing or descending movement.

O aplikacji

RemoteGPS turns your iPhone into a Bluetooth GPS remote for DJI Osmo Action 4, Osmo Action 5 Pro and Osmo Action 6 cameras.

These cameras have no GPS of their own. RemoteGPS streams your iPhone's location to the camera over Bluetooth, so every clip records position, speed and altitude in its own metadata, ready for telemetry overlays and mapping tools. No separate GPS remote needed.

GPS INTO EVERY CLIP • Sends your iPhone's GPS position to the camera, which records it in every clip • iPhone GPS updates about once per second; optional smoothing fills in between fixes at speed • Keeps streaming in the background with the screen off

CONTROL YOUR CAMERA • Start and stop recording, or fire the shutter in photo mode • Switch between all shooting modes with one tap • See battery level, shooting format, remaining storage and recording time at a glance • Thermal warnings when the camera runs hot

AUTO RECORD Let your movement decide when to film. Auto Record starts recording when you start moving, climbing or descending, and stops when you stop. Presets for walking, hiking, running, cycling, skiing/snowboarding and lift rides, or set your own speed, climb rate and delay thresholds.

GPX TRACK LOGGING Every measured fix is saved as a GPX file with millisecond timestamps, speed and course. Find your tracks in the Files app under On My iPhone > RemoteGPS.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads, no tracking. Your location goes only to your own camera and, if you choose, to GPX files on your iPhone. Nothing is ever sent to us or to third parties.

GOOD TO KNOW RemoteGPS is not a replacement for the manufacturer's own GPS remote. That remote has a dedicated GPS receiver that measures about 10 positions per second; an iPhone delivers about one. For walking, hiking, cycling, skiing and most other activities that is plenty for maps and overlays. For very fast motion, such as motorsport or downhill racing, tracks will look less detailed.

REQUIREMENTS • DJI Osmo Action 4, Osmo Action 5 Pro or Osmo Action 6 • The camera must be switched on; the first connection asks you to confirm pairing on the camera screen • Location access "Always" is needed to keep streaming in the background

RemoteGPS uses the camera's official Bluetooth remote protocol. It is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by DJI. DJI and Osmo are trademarks of SZ DJI Technology Co., Ltd.
