StepIsland: take a walk

StepIsland turns your daily steps into a little world that comes alive as you walk. Choose one of six hand-painted worlds — Coral Meadow, Sakura Grove, Sprout Valley, Canyon Oasis, Rainy Stones or Moonlit Forest — and meet the companion who lives there. Set a goal that suits you, make a promise, and every step you take brings your world to life.

YOUR COMPANION LIVES IN THE DYNAMIC ISLAND Glance up to see your companion and today's steps, even when the app is closed. Long-press to see how far you have left. With Plus, your island grows and reacts as your day goes on.

ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN, HOME SCREEN AND WRIST • Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in StandBy • Six widget styles: Companion, Ring, World, Week, Journey and Lock Screen • Apple Watch app and complications

WALK WITH FRIENDS Add friends with a code, see this week's board and send kudos when they hit their goal. Invite a friend to walk together and see both of your steps live, side by side, even when you're miles apart. For each walk you can choose to share your route with that friend; it's deleted the moment the walk ends.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN StepIsland only reads your step count from Apple Health, never workouts or medical data. Your location is only used if you turn on route sharing during a walk with a friend. Distance, time and energy are simple estimates from your steps.

FREE, FOREVER Step tracking, daily or weekly goals, rest days and streaks; your starter world and companion; friends, kudos, Walk Together (with route sharing) and leagues; widgets, the Dynamic Island and Apple Watch with your step count; this week's history with your average; and seasonal events.

STEPISLAND PLUS • All 6 worlds and companions: switch anytime • Your island comes alive: it grows and reacts to every step on Home, widgets, the Dynamic Island and Apple Watch • Full history and insights: Month view, consistency and your best day • Streak shield: one missed day forgiven each week

Plus is available monthly or yearly (the yearly plan includes a free trial for eligible new subscribers). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
