Grisou: Retro Dig Puzzle

Grisou is a black-and-white dig-and-trap arcade puzzle, in the spirit of the digging games of the late-80s home computers.

One screen. One puzzle. Collect every diamond, reach the exit. The only tool you have is the floor itself.

DIG, TRAP, PASS You cannot jump. You cannot fight. You dig the brick behind you, let your chaser drop into the hole, and walk past while he climbs out. The hole fills itself back in. Be inside it when it closes, and the run is over.

THE HERO FOLLOWS YOUR SWIPE No D-pad, no buttons eating half the screen. Put your finger down anywhere and slide: the hero heads the way you swipe, and your finger never hides what it aims at. Ladders and ropes are taken in the same gesture.

SIXTY LEVELS, EACH NASTIER THAN THE LAST The first ten levels and the daily challenge are free. The next fifty unlock together in the full edition, with a single purchase. It also adds “Show the way”: a winning run, replayed before your eyes, on every level. Every level is built by hand and checked by a solver before it ships: none is impossible, none is filler. The step count to beat — the target — is computed by the solver: do better if you can.

A FRESH CHALLENGE EVERY DAY A new level every day, the same one for everybody, picked by the date. Finish it, keep your streak, share your score.

BEAT YOUR OWN GHOST Your best run replays beside you. You are not racing a leaderboard: you are racing yourself, yesterday.

A HOMAGE, NOT A COPY Grisou takes after the dig-and-trap games of 1980s home computers. Its levels, art, sounds and code are original, written for this game. Nothing from any game of that era is reused in it.
