Iron Treads

Hold the line. Iron Treads is a fast, offline arcade tank-defense game in the spirit of the classic 8-bit tank battles, rebuilt in crisp low-poly 3D for iPhone and iPad.

Thirty hand-built battlefields stand between you and the final bastion. Each round sends twenty enemy tanks through a different maze of brick, steel, water and groves toward your command post. Break cover, cut off the approaches and keep the post standing.

FOUR ENEMY CLASSES Raiders push straight for your base. Interceptors hunt you down the flanks. Armored Bulwarks shrug off standard shells. Lime-green Blitz speedsters cross the map in seconds - freeze them with an EMP and line up the shot.

NINE VEHICLE BOSSES On nine key rounds a vehicle boss rolls in after the wave: a twin-cannon breacher, an eight-wheel missile carrier, a howitzer, a rail gun... all the way to the Omega Bastion land battleship. Bosses telegraph their firing lanes, launch homing missiles you can shoot down or out-turn, and hit overdrive at half health. Siege plating seals your command post - the duel is decided by your tank alone.

THE WORKSHOP Every round pays coins - for each kill, each boss and every clear, kept even when a round goes wrong. Spend them between rounds on permanent armor plating, a faster autoloader, higher shell velocity and a bigger EMP capacitor. Watch each part bolt onto your tank in the live garage view.

BUILD YOUR TANK IN BATTLE Collect UPGRADE supplies to climb from the MK I Scout to the MK IV Titan. Each tier adds armor, a faster cannon and a new silhouette; piercing shells punch through steel.

FIVE SUPPLIES, USED WISELY UPGRADE, SHIELD, EMP, REPAIR and reinforcements drop from your kills - two chances per round. REPAIR grows your command post up to 5 HP. EMP stops every engine on the field and wipes hostile shells and missiles.

EARN YOUR STARS Three stars per round: clear the wave, keep the post at 4 HP or better, and lose no tanks. Chain eliminations for up to a 5x score multiplier.

BOSS RUSH Beat round 30 to unlock Boss Rush: all nine bosses back to back in a MK IV Titan with three lives and one EMP.

MADE FOR TOUCH A steady direction pad, hold-to-fire, one-tap EMP, left-handed layout, haptics, up to 120 Hz on ProMotion displays, and a clear 45-degree battlefield camera. Landscape on iPhone and iPad.
