CellSpell is a word game where every board has a personality. It is free with no ads, no interruptions, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and nothing to unlock.

Pick a theme (we have over 50 to choose from) and deal a board full of letters. Hidden inside are words from that theme. Drag across neighboring letters in any direction — across, up, down, diagonally, even backwards — to spell words. When a word lands, its letters vanish, the survivors cascade, and fresh letters fall in. The board is always full, and the game never runs out.

THEMES ARE THE GAME Every theme brings its own colors and its own word list. Seasonal boards for Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. Holiday boards for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day. Everyday favorites like Household Items, Fruits & Vegetables, Coffee, Animals, Music, Sports, Space, and Ancient Epics. Theme words pay triple, and the list beside the board shows what's still hiding. New themes arrive on their own — no app update or subscription required to get them.

Stuck? The hint traces the best word waiting on the board. Letters gone stale? Take Out the Trash swaps the dead weight for fresh possibilities, or Shuffle rearranges what you have.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No ads. No purchases. CellSpell keeps only anonymous play statistics — which theme, how long, what scored — to tune the game, and you can switch that off in Settings. Nothing identifies you.
