FamiWatch – Marolya

Who has watched what? At last the whole family knows.

FamiWatch tracks the household's series and films: one tick per person, season by season or episode by episode, and a reminder when an awaited release arrives. No account for the children or the grandparents, no streaming login to hand over.

THE CORE IDEA: THE WATCHING RECORD Progress doesn't belong to a person, but to those who watch together. Jean and Anne move through a series as a pair: one record, one progress. Thibaut follows it on his own: his own record. The same title carries both stories side by side, never mixed. And the day two people decide to carry on together, their records merge without losing anything.

WHAT YOU CAN DO • Tick by season or by episode, as you prefer, with a season slider when adding: slide to where you are, the rest ticks itself. • Mark the next episode from the home screen, in one tap, without opening the record — the app closes the season when that was the last episode. • Find the home screen in four rows: On the list, Watching, Waiting, Watched — with the avatars of whoever is involved on each card. • Filter the Library by state, member or platform, and return to the exact view you left. • Spin the evening Wheel when nobody can decide: it draws from your list, by type, by person or by platform, and avoids landing on the same title twice in a week. • Note the announced release date of a film or a season, choose the notice (same day, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month), and let the record move itself into "To watch" when the day comes. • Archive a finished title: it leaves the home screen, the reminders and the wheel, loses nothing, and comes back whenever you want. • Leaf through your memories month by month: titles finished, ticks made together, the longest series, badges. • Write the platform freely: Netflix, cinema, a DVD from the library — nothing is imposed, nothing is connected.

THE AUTOMATIC CATALOGUE Three letters are enough: summary, genres, release date, number of seasons and suggested platform fill themselves in. On the record: age rating, main cast, episodes named and dated, trailer as an external link. A series cancelled by its network tells you; a series already watched with a sequel announced offers to reopen it.

WHAT FAMIWATCH DOES NOT DO No comments, no likes, no feed. No recommendations, no similar titles, no average ratings: that is a decision, not an oversight.

YOUR ACCOUNT A single Marolya account gives access to FamiWatch and the other Marolya apps. Sign-in happens on marolya.fr, the publisher of the app. Your FamiWatch data stays in FamiWatch.

YOUR DATA In the iPhone app, an optional Face ID lock protects access to your data. Hosted in Europe. No ads, no trackers, no cookie banner. First names and titles are encrypted in the database. You can erase your FamiWatch data at any time from the app. Deleting your WHOLE Marolya account — the sign-in and the other apps — is done on marolya.fr. Your data is not kept indefinitely: after a year without visiting, you are warned by email, reminded two days before the deadline, then it is erased. Signing in cancels all of it.
