In short

Event Compass: Realm is an offline companion for Renaissance Faires, offering hand-drawn parchment maps, a stage schedule with show reminders that fire without signal, and a personal save list kept only on the phone. It is aimed at attendees at outdoor faires where connectivity is poor. What stands out is that no account is needed, there are no ads or tracking, and purchases happen at the booth rather than in the app.

About

Renaissance Faires are held in woods and fields where phone signal goes to die. Event Compass: Realm is built for exactly that: everything the app does works with no connection at all.

THE LIVING MAP Every Charted Faire gets a hand-drawn parchment map with every shoppe, stage, tavern, and privy pinned as close to its real spot as we can chart it. The map opens on the landmarks so you can get your bearings, then reveals full detail as you zoom. Filter by artisans, food, drink, stages, rides, and games, or search the directory by name and let the map fly you to the booth. The maps are in beta and keep improving through 2027.

THE SCHEDULE, WITH BELLS ON The stage schedule as the faire posts it, every stage and every show in time order. Tap the bell on a show and your phone rings you 15 or 30 minutes before curtain. The alarm is scheduled on the device itself, so it fires in a dead zone.

MY POUCH Your "come back for this" list. Save the shoppe with the mug, the leatherworker two lanes over, the show you promised to catch. The pouch lives only on your phone; there is no account and nobody else can see it.

MERCHANT'S ROW Who sells what, the whole faire through. Search "bodice" or "dice" or "mead" and get every merchant that carries it. A shop's wares show once the vendor has added them.

THE HERALD A welcome page, with dates, faire-day weather, and mark-thy-carriage right on the opening page.

FIND ALMOST EVERY FAIRE A hand-drawn map of the United States with nearly 600 Faires on it. Charted Faires open in full; for the rest you get dates, address, website, and a vote button that genuinely steers what we chart next.

HONEST BY DESIGN No patron accounts. No third-party ads. No tracking. Location is used once, on your device, to open the faire you are standing at. Menus and wares are display-only: every purchase happens at the booth, face to face with the artisan. The Herald, the landmark map, the posted schedule, and the nationwide faire picker are free at every faire; a season pass unlocks the full map, show reminders, the pouch, the season archive, Merchant's Row, and faire weather for one faire and season, and the annual Sovereign's Pass unlocks every Charted Faire.

Event Compass is an independent, unofficial companion made by people who love Faires. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any faire unless expressly stated.
