About

Portrait tells the news of Québec and Canada once: one story per screen, a clear brief, then the links to every outlet that published it. You read what happened first, then choose where to read on.

THE FEED The picture fills the screen, the headline sits over it, and the brief reads in a few lines. Swipe up for the next story. Tap the picture to open the outlet's article. Videos from the outlets' channels play right in the feed.

DIG IN Press and hold a story: the feed follows it and brings you the related news. Slide while holding to set how deep, and come back to your feed whenever you like.

NEAR ME See what is being read around you. Portrait sends only an area of about 5 km, never your position, never your identity. A map shows the reads around you.

YOUR OUTLETS, YOUR LANGUAGE In Sources, choose the outlets you want more, less or not at all, and the share of French and English in your feed. Search finds a story by its words. The audio button reads the brief with the device's voice, or leaves the video's sound on.

PAPER The same feed as reading cards, one after the other, for quieter moments.

NO ACCOUNT No sign-up, no ads, no tracking. Your settings stay on your device. Briefs are written automatically from the outlets' public feeds and always link to the original article; Portrait republishes nothing.
