In short

SliceLook: 3D Print Quick Look shows 3D print files inside Finder, with the model on its build plate in its filament colors, plus print time, filament weight, layer count and size. It is aimed at people who work with 3MF, G-code and .bgcode files and want to preview a layer-by-layer build before sending a job to the printer. It stands out for previewing each layer in 3D with the current layer highlighted, all processed on the Mac.

About

SliceLook brings 3D print files to life in Finder.

Select a print file and press Space: the model stands on its build plate in its real filament colors, with the print time, filament weight and length, layer count and size right underneath. No slicer launch, no waiting.

FINDER THUMBNAILS Your print folders stop being a wall of blank icons. Every 3MF, G-code and .bgcode file shows the model inside.

LOOK ALL THE WAY ROUND Drag to walk around the plate in 360°, scroll to zoom, double-click to reset.

EVERY LAYER, IN 3D Slide from the first layer to the last and watch the print build up. The current layer is highlighted, so you can check walls, infill and the first layer before you send the job to the printer.

MULTI-COLOR JOBS Multi-material and multi-color prints show each filament in its own color, in the model and in the layers.

AT A GLANCE Print time, grams, meters, layer height and dimensions, read straight from the slicer file.

WORKS WITH YOUR SLICER • Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer .gcode.3mf projects • PrusaSlicer G-code and binary G-code (.bgcode) • 3MF models and plain G-code SliceLook never replaces your slicer as the default app for these files.
